Seminarian Dies During The Hour Of Mercy

Alan Brown, 49, a Jefferson City seminarian, tragically died of a heart attack.

Alan woke up and was praying the Liturgy of the Hours with his fellow seminarians, when the heart attack occurred. He was rushed to a St. Joseph, MO hospital.

He died at 3:45 PM, the hour of Mercy, having his soul full of grace.

A frequent adorer of the Blessed Sacrament, Fr. William Korte said "He knew the gift of God. He knew the source of His wealth."

In a Catholic Missourian article Mr. Brown writes:

"I would like to encourage every Catholic to spend time often with our Eucharistic Lord in adoration of Him. It's all about what Jesus wants to do for you, not about what you can do for Him. As Christians, we know that it is in dying we are born to eternal life."
Mr. Brown was going to graduate in May and was scheduled to enter theological studies at Sacred Heart School of theology in Hales Corners, Wisconsin.

Let us pray,
Eternal rest grant unto him O' Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of the faithful departed through the Mercy of God, rest in peace.

Mr. Alan Brown (October 19, 1959 - January 22, 2009)

Alan Brown, please pray for holy vocations to the priesthood. Amen

This is sad yet beautiful, as if the Lord wanted him close to Himself. I pray for his family, but I am certain there is a big reason behind this. It is not by chance.
