I Am Unemployed

Yes, I have been unemployed for a month now. I am very thankful for all the time I am spending with the family. This will go down as one of happiest times in my life.

Don't get me wrong! I am working very hard at finding a job. It is difficult when you are competing against 50 plus applications for a job paying $10/hr. Losing the house is a very real possibility. Insurance! With a diabetic wife, well I am just letting the good Lord take care of that one.

A prayerful heart full of trust and thanksgiving is the key.

When I learn how to obtain those attributes I will let you know ;-)

Some of you have noticed that my posting has become much more erratic lately. There are 2 reasons. First, is because of baby Gianna. I have less time. Correction, I had less time. Second is by choice, I can't let this blog be an inappropriate escape from reality. So, I am purposely doing fewer postings. I think you understand.

Jesus, I trust in you! My prayer of choice lately.

Whether the Lord opens the door for a job in a week or two years, I am looking forward to deepening my relationship with my Lord, our Mother, my wife and children. Nothing like a little suffering to draw one closer to those he loves.

May the peace of Christ be with all of you.

I' ve always turned to St. Joseph with my petitions for employment; he's never let us down. I'll pray to him for you, and bless you for taking this hard time as a way to get closer to God and your family.

Thank you for the prayers, everyone!

A dear friend of our family (in fact, he's Anne Marie's godfather) says that this is God's way of harvesting prayers. Actually, he says that about suffering in general.

God bless you!

John Michael:)
I am so sorry that you through no fault of your own have lost your employment and I will pray for you and your family.

I remember when My dad got cancer( 2 year struggle in & out of hospitals) when I was 14 years old and my mother worked 3 jobs...It was a difficult time but thank God Dad recovered and my sister and I left school when I was 16 and she 15 so we could get jobs and help our parents pay off their loans(accumulated thru Dads illness). What counts in the end is...LOVE.

My beloved mother died when she was only 56 so trust me in the end it is LOVE that matters and what your children will remember most.

Peace to you & your lovely family:)

John Michael, I have not been blogging myself for the same reason. I got to be with my family and take care of our needs.

I saw your post at Marie's. I am definitely praying for you. I will include you and your intentions at our daily evening prayers.

You are a man of faith. God hears you, your faithfulness, and your prayers.

Michael, I like your prayer of choice, it is mine too - for every situation. Trouble is, He is not slow to take you at your word. I am a hospital chaplain and i've found with patients in distress, to speak about the Divine Mercy and to lead patients to that prayer of trust in Him is just .. pardon me .. magic. The change in them is beautiful to behold. Peace.

Thank you Father and God bless you!

"For every situation," what a blessing you are for your flock.

You must have much trust to get that response from the patients.
